Queer comedian Reuben Kaye left The Project panel stunned after an X-rated joke about Jesus live on air.
Kaye on Tuesday spoke about the hate he receives over his sexuality and for dressing up in drag - especially from the Christian community.
'I love Jesus, I love any man who can get nailed for three days straight and come back for more,' Kaye joked.
His line left speechless, but Sarah Harris and the rest of the cast laughed along with gay comedian's joke.
But the controversial quip sparked a furious reaction online with many saying the gag went 'too far'.
Kaye in his first ever appearance on The Project said this was his time to announce himself to Australia as he is set to perform at multiple comedy festivals around the country before then going on to joke about things such as sexuality and racism
