Fury Of The Gods as it took in a disappointing $30.5 million from US/Canadian box offices over the weekend.
The 42-year-old actor did not blame fans of the 57-year-old filmmaker - who is known for having a passionate fanbase on social media - but did acknowledge on that many of his fans wanted it to fail.

However, Levi made clear that most of the blame should not be blamed on Snyder's passionate fanbase but the way it was marketed.
He explained:  'But I think the biggest issue we're having is marketing.

This is a perfect family movie, and yet a lot of families aren't aware of that. Which is just a shame.'
This comes just days after his film  faltered with international audiences and only earned $65.5 million after it was projected to gross at least $85 million according to .
The Comics-based movie was previously the after it was reported that the flick was only expected to take in $35 million during its first weekend of release.

Fury Of The Gods' opening was also 43% off from its 2019 predecessor, which earned $53.5 million from its opening weekend.
The sequel also took in $11.7 million from Friday and preview screenings, while the first earned $20.3 million by comparison.

The Chuck star did express, however, that he was interested in reprising his role as the superhero in the future.
He said: 'Trust me, wherever they say, we want you to be Shazam in this thing, I'd be like, "Great let's go. I'll do that."'
Rachel Zegler, who portrayed Anthea in the feature, also told Deadline that she and her collaborators were 'confident about the future of the franchise.'
